Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Seal will perform live in Sharjah this March.
British pop singer Seal will hit the stage at Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah on Saturday, 11 March.
The R&B and soul legend will perform his greatest hits live in concert, celebrating three decades of his self-titled debut album “Seal”, released in 1991, and his 1994 eponymous follow-up “Seal II” – albums that blended R&B, dance, pop and soul music.
Seal is best known for his best-performing single “Kiss from a Rose”, which was widely popularised as part of the “Batman Forever” film soundtrack in 1995. The song won Grammy Awards for “Record of the Year” and “Song of the Year” in 1996.
From the moment Seal arrived in 1991, his collection of stellar songs from “Crazy” to “Killer” has continued to reverberate with greater intensity as time has worn on. But it was on Seal II that the rising star collided with Trevor Horn to create such galvanising tracks as “Don’t Cry” and “Kiss From A Rose.”
Seal, who emerged from the UK’s rave scene, burst on the world’s music scene in 1991 when “Crazy,” the lead single from his eponymous debut album, cracked the Top 10 in the US, UK and across Europe. The album debuted at No. 1 in the UK and later won Best British Album at the Brit Awards. His voice recalls the great soul singers of the 1960s, but he matched it to the burgeoning house and rave scene in England. To date, Seal has released 10 albums, including 2017’s record called “Standards”.
With Seal’s performance set to cover the full breadth of his career in a single night, this will essentially be a concert you don’t want to miss.
Tickets are on sale on Platinumlist with prices starting from AED 250. The concert starts at 9pm.
