Ever wondered what that big balloon beside Atlantis, The Palm was? Here’s the lowdown.
Dubai’s newest attraction is reaching for the skies, quite literally. The Dubai Balloon is a new elevated adventure that promises to offer extraordinary aerial views of the city.
Tethered at the beach of the iconic Atlantis Aquaventure, the helium-inflated balloon is set to open its doors to the public this month. This one-of-a-kind attraction offers guests the opportunity to feel on top of the world and experience wonder at adrenaline-rushing heights of up to 300 meters, approximately three times higher than a thirty-three-storey building.
Strategically located at the edge of Palm Jumeirah, The Dubai Balloon offers unbeatable views of the complete shape and structure of the glamorous island while providing incredible photo opportunities of record-breaking landmarks like the largest waterpark, Aquaventure, the world’s largest fountain show at The Pointe, Burj Al Arab, Ain Dubai and on clear days even Burj Khalifa and the Downtown skyline.

The Dubai Balloon is family-oriented, fun and safe for all ages. It is free for kids under three years and is also wheelchair and stroller-friendly. Private charters and exclusive venue hires can be organised for those looking for an out-of-the-ordinary location to celebrate special occasions.
Tickets for the 10-minute flight start at AED 175 for adults and AED 75 for children above three years. Fast Pass tickets are sold at AED 275 per adult and AED 125 per child, which allows guests to skip the queue and includes private boarding, a complimentary coffee, tea or soft drink at the lounge, and access to a tranquil terrace overlooking the pristine beach and waters.
Dubai’s newest bucket-list experience, The Dubai Balloon is open daily from 9am, and until 11pm on weekdays and midnight on weekends.
