Dubai’s music scene is on fire — only a day after the upcoming Wireless Festival Middle East’s headliners were announced, news of Thirty Seconds to Mars returning to Dubai has broken. And both events, incidentally, have been organised by Live Nation Middle East. Fronted by the eclectic and uber-talented Jared Leto, the American band will perform at Coca-Cola Arena on 12 December, bringing its unique style of alternative rock with it.
Formed by brothers Jared and Shannon Leto, Thirty Seconds to Mars has captivated audiences around the world with its powerful sound and thought-provoking lyrics for over two decades, and the UAE is no exception. It has already rocked venues like Dubai World Trade Centre and Etihad Park in the past. The band’s sixth album, It’s the End of the World but It’s a Beautiful Day, reflects its creative evolution and commitment to exploring new musical horizons. The album features ten concise tracks that capture a range of emotions and experiences, driven by Jared’s emotive vocals and Shannon’s dynamic drumming and production.
With their newest album, the band wanted to create something that speaks to who they are now, while also reflecting on the past. Themes of optimism, celebration, vulnerability and simplicity are woven throughout the songs, allowing people to truly connect on an emotional level with the music. The group stripped back its unique sound, focusing instead on the most important aspects of each track to create a series of inspiring songs.
Thirty Seconds to Mars has a storied career, known for its genre-defying music and ambitious live shows.
