The Irish megastars will take to the stage on Thursday, 29 September.
Live Nation is bringing Irish boyband Westlife to the capital to perform an exclusive show at the Etihad Arena in Yas Island – Abu Dhabi, this September. The Irish sensations, who are best known for tunes from the ’90s such as You Raise Me Up, Swear It Again and Uptown Girl, have sold more than 55 million records worldwide.
Guests will be “Flying Without Wings” as Westlife will return to the UAE for the first time since 2019 to perform a medley of their chart-topping songs. The concert will light up Etihad Arena at Yas Bay Waterfront in what is sure to be a spectacle of flawless vocals.
The group will showcase their 18th studio album, Wild Dreams, released in 2021, along with a selection of well-known classics. The most recent album was recorded over an 18-month period and is inspired by the challenges of the time.
To make the experience more convenient for Westlife fans in Dubai, Live Nation will offer a shuttle bus service from Dubai to Abu Dhabi and back on the day of the show, an add-on that can be selected while purchasing tickets.
The Irish group are also set to play a second gig as they make their Saudi Arabian debut in the capital, Riyadh. The concert, set to take place on Wednesday, 28 September, will give Saudi Arabian fans their first chance to revel in the astonishing mastery of this multi-award-winning quartet.
Westlife are the latest international act to perform at Etihad Arena, with Disney’s The Lion King, the NBA Abu Dhabi Games, and UK Comedian Kevin Bridges all taking over the venue in the coming months.
Tickets for the show on Thursday, 29 September, will be available at www.ticketmaster.ae and go on sale on Friday, 5 August.
