A night of 80s nostalgia awaits as ABC, Chesney Hawkes, and The Real Thing will fuel the nostalgia at Bla Bla.
Yearning for simpler times isn’t just for the old — Gen Z and millennials can fuel their relentless nostalgia as REWIND Fest returns to beachside hotspot Bla Bla from Friday, 1 to Saturday, 2 March in collaboration with Live Nation. The electrifying music extravaganza was a sell-out affair last year as the likes of Tony Hadley, Heather Small, Heaven 17, Go West, and Marc Almond took to the stage. And this time around, it doesn’t matter whether you attend or Friday or Saturday; the full line-up of artists will be showcased on both days, ensuring that every festivalgoer catches each of the phenomenal acts.
As for who’s on the line-up? Wet Wet Wet, for starters. Formed in 1982, the Scottish soft rock band will headline this throwback festival that originated in the UK and draws tens of thousands of melomaniacs every summer. Also on the roster of the upcoming edition are the chart-toppers whose hits you grew up with: English band ABC (known for their smooth vocals and elegant arrangements on timeless hits like “Poison Arrow” and “The Look of Love”), legendary soul group The Real Thing (of “Can’t Get by Without You” and “You to Me Are Everything” fame), and Scottish singer-songwriter James “Midge” Ure.

Musician Chesney Hawkes is also confirmed to perform. You likely know him for his 1991 hit, “The One and Only”. Best known as the lead vocalist of M People, Heather Small is also on the line-up, bringing with her a mesmerising voice with hits like “Moving on Up” and “Search for the Hero”, her performance at REWIND Fest is expected to be unforgettable. Also confirmed to participate are vocal trio Odyssey, ABBA tribute act Björn Again, English rock band From the Jam, and experimental rock band Disco Inferno.

Non-stop entertainment on the main stage aside, festival goers can look forward to DJs performing at The Tent, karaoke in the Back Room, dedicated stations for glitter and hair braids, and plenty of bars and food options of course. Oh, and take note: Ticketmaster is the only authorised ticketing platform for REWIND Fest, and a ticket is required for each of the two days. Ticket prices range from AED 399 (general admission) to AED 650 (VIP).
