The Middle East Film and Comic Con returns to the UAE capital this weekend. The annual convention brings together fans of movies, TV shows, comics, gaming and more from across the region and beyond.
With celebrity guests, cosplay, exhibitors, panels, workshops, and screenings, the Middle East Film and Comic Con offers a wide range of activities and entertainment for attendees.
It’s a chance for fans to immerse themselves in their favorite fandoms, meet industry professionals, and connect with like-minded people.
As an official media partner for this years event the DSCVR team have put together 10 things to look forward to at this years event.
Celebrity Guests:
One of the highlights of any pop culture convention is meeting the stars from your favorite movies, TV shows, and comics. This years celebrities include Matt Smith, known for his roles in House of Dragon, The Crown and Doctor Who, David Harbour who played Jim Hopper in Stranger Things, Anthony Daniels an English actor and mime artist, best known for playing C-3PO in 10 Star Wars films and many more familiar faces.
Cosplay:
Dressing up as your favorite character is a big part of the fun at any convention, and the Middle East Film and Comic Con is no exception. Whether you’re a seasoned cosplayer or a first-timer, you’ll have the opportunity to show off your skills and meet like-minded fans.
Exhibitors:
The convention floor is packed with vendors selling everything from comic books and action figures to rare collectibles and fan art. You can spend hours browsing the booths and finding unique souvenirs to take home. You will be able to catch us stocking up on Pop Funko’s!
Panels:
MEFCC features a wide range of panels and Q&A sessions with celebrities and stars from the shows. Be sure to check the schedule so you don’t miss asking those all important questions.
Gaming:
Gaming is a huge part of the convention experience, and you can expect to find plenty of opportunities to play the latest video games and tabletop games. You can also participate in tournaments and meet fellow gamers.
Artists Alley:
Artists Alley is the place to go to find unique fan art and to meet the artists who create it. You can get your favorite characters drawn or purchase original artwork to take home.
Community:
The Middle East Film and Comic Con is an opportunity to connect with other fans who share your love of pop culture. You can make new friends, join fan groups, and immerse yourself in a vibrant community of like-minded people.

One of the best things to do at MEFCC is meeting your favourite celebrity. Don’t forget to book your meet and greet tickets for those all important autographs and photo opportunities.
