Known for playing Jim Hopper on Stranger Things, Harbour will join his co-star Jamie Campbell Bower.
Audiences never tire of the universal ‘good vs. evil’ theme, and it’s set to play out IRL as David Harbour is confirmed to appear at the Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC) taking place in Abu Dhabi from 3 to 5 March. Harbour, who stars as the lovable Chief Jim Hopper in the sci-fi/horror drama Stranger Things, will be joined by his co-star Jamie Campbell Bower. And with the latter playing frightening antagonist Vecna, fans will get a chance to meet this iconic hero/villain duo.
For those unfamiliar with Harbour, here’s what you need to know: his role on Stranger Things has garnered him worldwide recognition, which includes a nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in the Golden Globe Awards and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at the Emmys.
He also starred in multiple major productions, such as Steven Soderbergh’s neo-noir drama No Sudden Move, and Marvel’s Black Widow as The Red Guardian. Next, he’s set to reprise his role as The Red Guardian in 2024 superhero film, The Thunderbolts. Elsewhere, fans can catch Harbour in the upcoming Sony Pictures release, Gran Turismo.
Other MEFCC activities to look forward to? An e-sports tournament at the newly established Gaming Arena as well as the work of local creators and international artists at the Artist Alley. Jeffrey’ CHAMBA’ Cruz (a Melbourne-based illustrator best known for his work on Mega Man and Street Fighter) will also join the line-up, as will Hirokatsu Kihara of Studio Ghibli. Tickets are available on both Platinumlist and Virgin Tickets.
