Dubai’s newest open-air nightlife destination will debut at Dubai Harbour on 26 October.
It was only a matter of time until a major headliner was announced for Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour Experience and, true to form, we now know that it’s Calvin Harris. The superstar DJ and producer is back at Ushuaïa Ibiza every Friday for one of the summer’s most unmissable residencies as we speak, and will kick things off at Dubai’s most-anticipated nightlife experience on Saturday, 26 October. Harris is the first artist to be announced for the big night.
Ushuaïa Ibiza, for context, is home to the most in-demand artists in electronic music — David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Swedish House Mafia, and Tomorrowland included. And its first event residency in Dubai will launch at Dubai Harbour later this year, bringing with it an immersive club experience like no other. We’re told that clubbers can expect a diverse selection of international DJs and artists covering both mainstream and underground sounds, alongside an epic festival-level production and captivating visuals, in a unique al fresco setting that will echo the electric atmosphere that has made Ushuaïa Ibiza world-famous. And with a series of extraordinary events scheduled from October 2024 to May 2025, this bold new residency is set to bring the world’s biggest electronic music stars to Dubai, so many more leading names are in the works.
A collaboration between The Night League (the creative powerhouse behind the likes of Hï Ibiza, ANTS and, of course, Ushuaïa) and Studio A by Addmind Hospitality (of White Club, Iris, and Babylon fame), Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour Experience will feature bespoke productions led by Romain Pissenem and his team at High Scream. Those in the know will tell you that the creative production studio is acclaimed for continually raising the bar for club design, art installations and virtual music experiences globally.
Harris, meanwhile, needs no introduction, but here’s a brief one. With over 56 billion combined audio and video streams, he is one of Sony Music’s biggest streaming artists and one of the most viewed artists ever on YouTube. His illustrious career includes collaborations with international superstars like Frank Ocean, Pharrell Williams, Rihanna, The Weeknd, and Travis Scott, along with impressive accolades including 14 MTV VMA nominations with two wins, five Grammy nominations, and a Grammy Award for Best Music Video in 2013 for “We Found Love”. His longstanding residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza has cemented its status as the biggest party on the island, so his debut performance at the Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour Experience is set to be downright unforgettable. Incidentally, Australian dynamo Tyson O’Brien (who plays weekly with Calvin Harris at his Ushuaïa Ibiza residency) also joins the bill, along with more special guests to be announced.
