The contemporary Asian concept at Atlantis The Royal was unveiled with a star-studded soirée.

Between Beyoncé’s exclusive performance and the magnitude of stars in attendance, the reveal of Atlantis The Royal continues to make headlines worldwide. For the bona fide foodies out there, however, it’s the property’s exciting line-up of new dining concepts that deserves all the hype. Ling Ling, a brainchild of the renowned Tao Group Hospitality, is one such concept that was unveiled in the presence of big names and special guests during Atlantis The Royal’s Grand Reveal weekend.

Celebrities Ellen Pompeo, Ashley Park, Bar Refaeli, Trey Songz, Amir Khan, Jonathan Cheban, Fat Joe, and Caroline Stanbury, all got a first taste of the restaurant’s unique dining experience. Here, contemporary Asian cuisine that’s meant to be shared is paired with an extensive beverage menu, soaring views, and an eclectic soundtrack. Located in the crown of Atlantis The Royal, Ling Ling overlooks the resort’s infinity pool lounge, Cloud 22, with views of the Dubai skyline and Arabian Gulf.

Upon arrival, guests are whisked up to the 22nd and 23rd floors, where they are invited to explore the venue via several unique and communal experiences. Creative cocktails can be enjoyed in the expansive bar, while culinary offerings can be enjoyed in one of two dining lounges, as well as a spacious terrace. The venue also features an elegant 12-seater private dining room, as well as a discreet Ultra Lounge nestled in the heart of the venue, designed to offer guests a more intimate and exclusive bar and nightlife experience.

Already boasting three locations in Oslo, Marrakesh and Mexico City, Ling Ling was initially born as the lounge area within the first Hakkasan in central London. Featuring lower tables, a relaxed atmosphere, energetic music, award-winning drinks, and a space designed for socialising, Ling Ling quickly became a space to see and be seen in London. Following its fame as a hidden gem of a bar, the brand expanded as a standalone concept at Mandarin Oriental, Marrakesh, back in 2016. Designed by Parisian duo Gilles & Boissier, the signature interiors include lush greenery, vibrant artwork, memorable views, and spacious outdoor terraces.

Serving contemporary Asian dishes, Ling Ling encourages guests to discover and explore cuisine differently. Inspired by izakaya, where food accompanies drinks (rather than the other way around), cocktails are at the heart of the experience with an always-intriguing menu. The culinary highlights fuse Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese and Korean influences without leaving aside the Cantonese origins of Hakkasan that are present in every course. Helmed by Tao Group Hospitality’s Chief Culinary Officer, Ralph Scamardella, the menu was created by Steven Nguyen (formally of Indochine) and includes signature dishes like Australian Lobster Pad Thai, Tea Smoked Duck Kueh Pie Tee, 24k Gold A5 Wagyu, and Lobster Maki Sushi Rolls along with signature desserts such as Coconut in Paradise.

Elsewhere, Atlantis The Royal will boast world-class concepts from José Andrés, Costas Spiliadis, and Ariana Bundy. British celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal, meanwhile, will bring his Michelin-starred concept Dinner by Heston Blumenthal to the resort, along with a debut bar concept called Resonance. The restaurant will open its doors to guests on 10 February.
