The Bolt Hole is designed to pair international flavours with a family-friendly ambience.
Everyone’s welcome — that’s the premise of The Bolt Hole, a new venue from the team behind British gastropub The Duck Hook. Located in the residential community of Villanova, this neighbourhood hangout brings together global flavours, live entertainment, and events catering to all ages. Putting the unity in community, guests are invited to hide themselves from the outside world and unwind amongst the comfy and trendy interiors with friends, family and neighbours in tow.
On the menu are comforting favourites – think: pizza, pasta, burgers, grills, sandwiches and more. Carefully curated using locally sourced produce and catering to all dietary requirements, the menu serves up small plates that are perfect for sharing. Here, highlights include Vegan Ceviche, Beef Tartare, K-Pop Fried Chicken Wings, and Beef Adobo Spring Rolls. Diners can also tuck into an array of salads and bowls such as The Charred Caesar, The Greek, The Local, and The Bespoke.
The mains at The Bolt Hole includes a selection featuring the likes of Mama’s Green Curry, Nasi Goreng, Confit Duck Leg, Steak Sandwich, and Beer-Battered Fish & Chips. We’ve been advised to save space for dessert with the selection ranging from Tres Leche and Molten Chocolate to both artisanal ice cream and vegan-friendly sorbet. Breakfast: Early risers can start their day with a selection of dishes like the Comte Omelette, Steak & Eggs, Scrambled Tofu, the Sultan’s Breakfast, Buckwheat Pancakes, and Baked French Toast. Little ones, meanwhile, can choose from a special menu that features Bear Cakes with Maple Syrup, Mango & Yogurt Bowl, and Tomato & Cheese Omelette. Available Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 11:30am.
Lunch Sampler Menu: Diners can take their pick from the flavourful menu with a customisable set menu for lunch. Available with two courses for AED 70 per person, three courses for AED 95 per person, and four courses for AED 125 per person. Available daily from 12pm to 4pm.
Sip & Savour: For those looking to share a few plates as they catch up over late afternoon drinks, The Bolt Hole has a dedicated menu showcasing signature tapas-style dishes. Available Monday to Friday from 3pm to 6pm. Wines, draughts, spirits and cocktails start from AED 30.
Weekend Roast: Tuck into a hearty feast every weekend with The Bolt Hole’s weekend roast. With a choice of chicken, beef, lamb and vegan – all served with the classic trimmings – it’s the perfect meal for a laidback end to the weekend. Available Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 2:30pm.
