As critically acclaimed director Christopher Nolan’s latest movie release sold out across theatres this weekend, we take a look at the best locations to see Oppenheimer.
‘Oppenheimer’ arrived in movie theatres last week and showcases the prowess of the latest technology used to shoot the movie in IMAX 70-millimetre format.
The three-hour movie has been selling out in advance, with many cinemas adding extra screenings to accommodate the demand.
Cillian Murphy stars as Oppenheimer in one of the most anticipated films of the year. Golden Globe winner, Emily Blunt, Oscar winner Matt Damon, and Oscar nominee Robert Downey Jr. are also part of the film’s star-studded cast.
Nolan reveals, when watching a film in IMAX, he sits “a little behind the centre line, right up at the middle” to achieve the most immersive experience. Or, if he’s watching the film in a regular cinema screen, he sits “right near the front, middle of the third row”.
‘Oppenheimer’, although having been digitised to be compatible across all screens, is truly meant to be experienced in its IMAX format.
