ÒAK brings Asian-inspired wood-fired cuisine to Dubai

ÒAK

Expect contemporary Asian cuisine, artistic presentation, and an enchanting atmosphere.

Dubai has welcomed an exciting new culinary concept. ÒAK in Umm Sequim offers diners a distinctive Asian-inspired woodfire concept restaurant with a lounge.

Inspired by ancient traditions, ÒAK creates a unique dining and lounge experience that skillfully balances the energy of fire with the cooling attributes of water. The new restaurant encapsulates timeless Eastern traditions, infusing them with a distinctly unique Asian spirit. The fiery open grill takes centre stage in the dining area, while the lounge provides a calming ambience for guests to relax.

ÒAK

More than just a restaurant, ÒAK promises an avant-garde gastronomic and mixology journey. The menu at ÒAK reflects a fusion of Asian-inspired and wood-fired aromas from Bincho-tan, featuring predominantly Japanese influences with elements of Korean, Thai, and Chinese cuisine. The open kitchen, featuring a custom charcoal and woodfire grill, ensures each dish bursts with flavour.

Encouraging socialising and community, ÒAK offers a diverse range of Asian-inspired dishes, including tapas, a vast selection of skewers from the Japanese robata grill, seafood, meat, buns, burgers, rice, pasta, salads, and vegetables. Signature dishes include the grilled beef short rib and woodfire roasted cauliflower, while desserts promise a unique and flavorful conclusion to the meal.

ÒAK

Inspired by the four natural elements, the non-alcoholic cocktail selection begins with the Wind selection before moving on to Water cocktails or spiced Fire cocktails.

Founders Mohammad Zehri and Basil Hamshari express their excitement: “We are thrilled to introduce ÒAK to Dubai. We have carefully crafted a dining and lounge experience that brings together the rich traditions of the East with a modern touch. We invite everyone to join us on this gastronomic and sensory journey, where culinary excellence and captivating ambience meet.”
