The fun offspring of London hotspot Tandoor Chop House has opened in Dubai.
With a focus on the flame-oriented cooking technique that gives the restaurant its name, Tandoor Tina takes inspiration from carefree travels across the Indian coastline and transports the Tandoor Chop House menu, with its traditional British ingredient combinations and signature dishes to Dubai.
Step through the restaurant’s doors and feel the holiday vibes with the Jaipur pink accents, the floral ceramics, pastel hues, exotic plants and soft furnishings that adorn the space. Ageing pastel-plastered walls contrast with sharp and intricate outlines and vibrantly patterned fabric upholstery. The diversity and variety of the interiors are inspired by the theme of regal Rajasthan and British tradition.
The menu starts with snacks, including a selection of naan bread dressed with classically British garnishes, like bone marrow butter and cheese and onion, as well as a chip butty complete with a spiced coleslaw and curry sauce. Other small plates are reminiscent of London pub dining – potted chilli crab with paratha, an Indian-spiced scotch egg and the signature Dexter beef ‘dripping’ keema mince on toast.
Later, diners can tuck into Tandoor Chop House old faithfuls such as Amritsari lamb chops or a whole roast chicken. Desserts will cover all areas of sweet decadence, from the Nutella naan, with coconut ice cream, to an indulgent halva sticky toffee pudding.
With a beverage menu featuring signature juniper and tonic drinks, along with brightly garnished cocktails and house pours, the vibrant venue caters to an array of audiences.
