Marking its 16th edition, the Grand Oktoberfest Tent will keep the festivities going, Bavarian style, from 10 to 27 October
Oans, zwoa, drei, g’suffa!
The return of beers and all things Bavarian is upon us as the Grand Oktoberfest Tent returns to Grand Hyatt Dubai on 10 October. The 16th edition will stay in place until 27 October, with Oktoberfest Nights running from 7pm to 2am every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. As for what to expect? A Bavarian-style bash that will transport you to the boisterous streets of Bavaria, complete with hop-drinking, wurst-eating, and prost-shouting. You’ll also dance the night away and raise a glass to the tunes of the original Die Kirchdorfer Oktoberfest band, brought to Dubai all the way from Munich.
Entry to the event and an all-you-can-eat Bavarian buffet stacked with authentic German eats such as pretzels, bratwursts and schnitzels is priced AED 199 per person. Beverages, charged upon consumption, will span the likes of one-litre German steins, grapes and house beverages, fuelling revellers well into the night. Partnering with Eurowings, African + Eastern, and Showtech, the Grand Oktoberfest Tent will also host Bavarian Family Brunch every Sunday that, as its name suggests, will be a family-friendly affair. Taking place from 12:30pm to 4pm, the brunch will accent a feast of Bavarian classics with live entertainment and fun for all ages — young ones included. Brunch packages range from AED 249 (soft package) to AED 349 (house package) per person.
The inaugural edition of the world’s largest folk festival may date back to 1810, when it was a royal wedding celebration, but the festivities only gets bigger and grander worldwide with time. Year after year, the Oktoberfest vibes at Grand Hyatt’s sprawling tent are full-on, so showing up dressed in traditional dirndl and lederhosen is highly recommended, as is booking well in advance.
