Taking place at its new home of Dubai Exhibition Centre, the mega health and wellness event will run from 25 to 27 October.
Back and bigger than ever, Dubai Active kicks off on 25 October at its new home, Dubai Exhibition Centre, in Expo City. Running for three days, the 2024 edition promises to be more extraordinary than ever thanks to appearances by global fitness icons and the world’s first HYROX 365 Challenge — but more on that later. Dubai Active will also mark the opening weekend of Dubai Fitness Challenge 2024, a citywide celebration of fitness that will run from 26 October to 24 November.
As for what’s on the roster? Over 400 brands, for starters. The likes of Lululemon, REFLO, Optimum Nutrition, The Beemin Lab and Zumba are expected to be onsite to showcase the latest in apparel, equipment, nutrition and technology. Alongside will be more than 600 athletes and fitness influencers from around the world, offering over 38,000 fitness enthusiasts and attendees access to unparalleled fitness experiences. Visitors can also look forward to back-to-back workouts, expert talks, giveaways and the chance to meet some of the biggest names in the fitness world: Leana Deeb, Courtney Black, and Kayla Itsines (who’s returning due to popular demand). They’ll be leading workout sessions, as will a powerhouse line-up of fitness and wellness advocates — Yash Moradiya, Leah Simmons, Ava Rodriguez, Zack Chug and Rhea Jacobs are also included.
And then there’s the aforementioned HYROX 365 Challenge. Powered by GymNation and a key feature of this year’s event, this global two-day fitness competition will push hundreds of athletes through intense physical challenges. GymNation and HYROX will also partner with the Heroes of Hope Foundation for a special edition of the challenge on 25 October, one that’s dedicated to people of determination. Over 50 children and young adults in the UAE will participate, highlighting the empowering and inclusive nature of fitness while fostering a sense of community.
Strength sports enthusiasts can look forward to The Den Lifting Zone by The Den DXB, hosting workshops and for anyone interested in getting into lifting alongside running competitions and an Olympic weightlifting seminar with Sonny Webster. The Forge Grappling Challenge, meanwhile, will be hosted by Roger Gracie Academy and The Forge, offering Jiu-Jitsu seminars and competitions for combat sports athletes looking to maximise their performance. Elsewhere, Team Nogueira Dubai will showcase boxing and Muay Thai with their Future Champions tournament, as well as host training and demonstrations.
Further diversifying the schedule is the Yoga & Pilates Studio that will host sessions in mindfulness and meditation, with a special session dedicated to students on the 25th. The Active Arena will be filled with high-energy workouts, including Zumba masterclasses and a special Lululemon Yoga session led by Karina Onga. Competitive spirits can enjoy the GO Sport: Battle of the Brands on the 26th, where eight performance apparel brands will pitch innovative concepts, competing for an exclusive two-month activation in GO Sport stores along with one-on-one guidance from industry experts.
