On Friday, 28 June, The Abu Dhabi EDITION will host the acclaimed mixologist at its prestigious Library Bar, a venue known for its intimate ambience and sophisticated design inspired by language and literature.
Known for his award-winning bars in Shanghai and Tokyo, Shingo Gokan is a luminary in the world of mixology. His illustrious career is marked by numerous accolades and a distinct fusion of Japanese and American bartending styles.
Shingo operates seven renowned cocktail bars and restaurants across Asia, including Tokyo, Okinawa, and Shanghai. His establishments boast an impressive record of 49 cumulative accolades from The World’s and Asia’s Best Bars. Plus, he was honoured as the International Bartender of the Year at Tales of the Cocktail in 2017. He is the first bartender to achieve both the Altos Bartender’s Bartender and the Roku Industry Icon awards in Asia’s 50 Best Bars. Additionally, Shingo has founded original liquor brands, The SG Shochu and KOKUTO DE LEQUIO, both deeply rooted in Japanese tradition and ingredients.
