With the popular Barasti Ritual series still going strong, it’s time to mark your calendars for yet another unmissable seaside bash at the city’s OG beach bar — DJ Alan Walker’s return to Dubai is confirmed. Ranked number 11 in DJ magazine’s list of Top 100 DJs, the British-Norwegian EDM producer has amassed billions of views on streaming platforms and is set to host an epic open-air concert at Barasti Beach on Saturday, 2 March.
Walker will headline Barasti Beach with an uplifting and energetic set featuring all of the EDM classics he is renowned for — it’s not just his biggest single “Faded”, which has already amassed over 3.5 billion YouTube views, that has made him a sensation in the EDM scene. His most recent release – a remake of the huge 1990s Alice Deejay single “Better Off Alone” – is the result of a collaboration with Dutch electronic music group Dash Berlin and British musician Vikram Barn, and “embodies the magic of music — a fusion of nostalgia and innovation”.
Barasti Ritual x DJ Alan Walker promises to be a spectacular night during which melomaniacs can transport themselves to Ibiza’s iconic summer soirees as they party on the shores of the Jumeirah coastline with the Dubai skyline as a backdrop. With over 115 million followers across his social media platforms and over 8.7 billion views on YouTube, Walker has been one of the hottest DJs in the world since he shot to fame in 2015.
He’s also amassed a huge number of accolades during his career supporting the likes of Rihanna and Justin Bieber on their world tours, headlining shows from Coachella to Tomorrowland, and collaborating with artists such as Ava Max, Noah Cyrus, Sia, Bruno Mars, and Coldplay. Known for his trademark mask and hoodie, the DJ last performed in Dubai in 2022, but now, he’s back for this exclusive gig at the city’s ultimate beach spot.
