American comic set to tickle those funny bones once again following last year’s sell-out show.
American comedian Dave Chappelle will bring his side-splitting humour back to Abu Dhabi for a second year running after selling out last year’s show in short order.
The multi-talented comic is one of the biggest names in stand up with various comedian, actor, screenwriter, and producer credits to his name. He was a huge draw last year and quickly won over the 14,000-person audience with a record breaking appearance that won rave reviews from fans.
Dave’s addition to this year’s event is another coup for the Abu Dhabi Comedy Season, which already boasts a star-studded lineup with the likes of Kevin Hart, Pete Davidson and Michael McIntyre already confirmed.
After finding fame with his self-titled “Chappelle’s Show” back in 2003, the Washington-born comic went on to achieve worldwide acclaim with a series of Netflix specials and Saturday Night Live hosting gigs. He’s won five Emmys and six Grammys and was one of last year’s most popular Comedy Season shows. His comedy focuses on social observations and personal experiences, so fans are sure to hear lots of new material.
The Abu Dhabi Comedy Season kicks off on 26 April with Trevor Noah and will run until July.
