The pop hitmaker is bringing his Nu King world tour to Coca-Cola Arena on Saturday, 4 May.
With Jason Derulo choosing to celebrate his 34th birthday in Dubai last year, we knew it was only a matter of time until his return. The R&B singer headlined a gig at Blu Dubai on 21 September, and is set to return this October, taking the stage at Coca-Cola Arena on 4 May. The upcoming show is part of the Nu King world tour that has already taken Derulo to the likes of Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Munich, Milan, and more.
Considering his solo recording career has already spanned 15 years, the singer-songwriter has not only sold more than 250 million singles worldwide, but also boasts 11 platinum singles to his name — “Wiggle”, “Whatcha Say”, “Ridin’ Solo”, and “Talk Dirty” included. Incidentally, his new album Nu King, after which his world tour is named, is Derulo’s fifth studio album and was released earlier this year through Atlantic Records. His first studio album of original material in a whopping nine years, it features collaborations with big name such as Michael Bublé, Gucci Mane, David Guetta, Alexandra Shipp, and Nuka alongside guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, Ty Dolla Sign, Dido, French Montana, Adam Levine, and Meghan Trainor.
While ticket prices are yet to be announced, we know that a night of smooth dance moves and a unique blend of R&B, pop, and hip-hop music is on the horizon.
In the meantime, melomaniacs have plenty else to look forward to, courtesy of a packed schedule at Coca-Cola Arena in the months ahead. Afrobeats star Rema, Australian The Kid Laroi, dancehall sensation Shaggy, and English singer-songwriter James Blunt are just some of the artists set to perform at the arena between now and May.
