Nigerian rapper Rema is confirmed to headline the event’s fifth edition later this month.
Four editions down, we know that for fans of Afrobeats, Afroworld is where it’s at. The popular festival has already featured the likes of Gunna, Davido, Asake, Ckay, and Lojay, translating to multiple epic nights out in Dubai. Now, with the fifth edition of Afroworld coming up on Thursday, 11 April, we’re only days away until Rema takes the stage at Coca-Cola Arena.
The Nigerian rapper is confirmed to headline the event, and promises to enrapture audiences with his exceptional talent and stage presence. Referring to his music as “Afro-rave”, he released his debut album Rave & Roses in March 2022 and earned global recognition in no time. You likely know the internationally acclaimed artist from his hit single “Calm Down” — it ended up on everyone’s go-to playlist after Selena Gomez joined forces with Rema, turning the ambient track into an infectious hit. Elsewhere, his repertoire spans top songs such as “Dumebi”, “Charm”, and “Iron Man”.
It’s no wonder that this highly anticipated music extravaganza will transform Coca-Cola Arena into a fusion of rhythms and melodies, highlighting the rich diversity of African music. It will bring together many artists and music enthusiasts to celebrate and immerse themselves in the vibrant world of Afrobeats. In fact, a guest performance by Omah Lay is also on the roster.

The entertainment, hospitality and marketing agency has already hosted events that featured big-name artists like Martin Garrix, Tiestö, Travis Scott, Christina Aguilera, Dua Lipa, Pitbull, Calvin Harris, Future, Migos and David Guetta among others.
