Eid holidays have been announced for private sector employees in the UAE.
UAE’s private sector workers can look forward to an extended break for Eid Al Fitr, as announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE).
The holiday will start from the 29th day of Ramadan, which is Monday, April 8, and will extend until Shawwal 3. The duration of the holiday period will be confirmed with the sighting of the crescent moon, potentially falling on Thursday, April 11, or Friday, April 12.
Dubai Government employees will get a one-week break to mark Eid Al Fitr.
Dubai’s government employees will also enjoy a similar respite, with the Dubai Government Human Resources Department announcing a one-week holiday from April 8 to April 14, returning to work on April 15.
This break is in line with the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), which has previously declared comparable holiday dates for public sector workers.
