International artist John Charles will exhibit his Modern Poets collection at Rove Hotel City Walk.
British artist John Charles will host his first international exhibition, Modern Poets, on Monday 29 September at 7pm at Rove City Walk.
The collection is inspired by the Netflix documentary Jeen-Yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy, based on the life of Kanye West, who is now known as Ye. The Modern Poets collection is a dedication to hip-hop and rap legends, past and present, including 2Pac, Biggie Smalls, Ice Cube, Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Slick Rick.
John Charles is an established artist based in Liverpool in the United Kingdom. Dubbed the ‘Scouse Van Gogh’ by his following, John is renowned for his bold use of vibrant colour, palette knife approach and signature gold lines. Taking inspiration from the community and environment around him, in addition to modern media and culture, John centralises his work on the things, people and places that impact him.
With collectors, celebrities and art-lovers around the world proudly hanging John’s artwork in their homes, John continues to make an impact in the art world with his awe-inspiring collections and Modern Poets looks set to be no different.
Rove City Walk is a hotel known for supporting artists and exhibitions, and will hang the six original pieces throughout its music-themed lobby, marking the property’s first international art exhibition.
