VOX Cinemas has announced a culinary collaboration with acclaimed chef Akira Back. Launching in the United Arab Emirates in September, the global restauranteur has curated a special menu for VOX Cinemas’ luxury cinema concept, THEATRE.
Having spent his early career as a professional snowboarder before moving into the culinary world, Akira Back has spent the last two decades racking up accolades (including the coveted Michelin Star) and building a global restaurant empire, including a branch of Akira Back at W Dubai – The Palm.
Guests at THEATRE can expect a modern Japanese menu featuring a combination of Akira Back’s signature dishes as well as culinary creations exclusive to VOX Cinemas.

VOX Cinemas’ THEATRE experience combines film with fine food, providing guests with the option of dining in an exclusive private lounge area or having their food delivered straight to their seat through the in-theatre waiter service. Redefining the luxury cinema experience, THEATRE boasts reclining leather seats, plush blankets and pillows and cutting-edge audiovisual technology in a stylish and intimate setting.

Akira Back’s menu will be available at VOX Cinemas across the United Arab Emirates in September before being rolled out across Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait later in the year.
