Expect a genre-defying fusion of house, techno, and Afro rhythms thanks to Keinemusik on Saturday, 13 April.
It’s only been days since the official launch of FIVE LUXE in JBR and, already, partying is high on the agenda. Having opened on 31 March, it’s designed to be (even) more extravagant than its lively counterparts in JVC and Palm Jumeirah, starting with an outpost of Pacha Ibiza, the world’s most iconic nightclub, with Playa Pacha.
The waterfront beach club is gearing up for its grand opening on 13 April, bringing with it Keinemusik duo Adam Port and Rampa. Fans of the EDM label and DJ collective can expect an unmissable bash anchored in house, techno, and Afro rhythms. Kicking off at 4pm, the day to night party will run late into the night. Famed for igniting dancefloors worldwide, the label takes an atypical approach to music production (Keinemusik translates to ‘no music’ in German), disrupting the electronic music realm with its unique blend of genres — techno, deep house, hip-hop, and Afrobeats included. The Keinemusik duo first performed in the city at Soho Garden Meydan last year.
As for their upcoming appearance at Playa Pacha? It’s part of limited showcase series that will host the world’s top music talent, with eight more events headlined by leading artists coming up in the months ahead. And we’d expect nothing less. The OG Pacha is nothing short of legendary, having forever altered Ibiza’s nightlife scene since its inception in 1973. A heady fusion of music, glamour and heritage, its name draws inspiration from the rank given to the likes of governors, generals and dignitaries in the Ottoman era. Legend has it that founder Ricardo Urgell’s wife predicted he’d live like a pasha once the venue, a farmhouse-turned-discotheque, opened its doors.
And while Urgell famously lives in the countryside with chickens and rabbits (he describes his lifestyle as “austere”), the success of the Ibizan superclub has led to over five decades of A-listers partying in its many free-spirited outposts worldwide — everyone from Grace Jones and Freddie Mercury to Mick Jagger, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Penelope Cruz. Here in Dubai, Playa Pacha will become an instant emblem of hedonism thanks to champagne showers, non-stop music, and Mediterranean cuisine fuelling partygoers amidst sweeping sea views of the Arabian Gulf.
