The Urban Balkan Bistro opens at Meyan Mall, Al Thanya Street.
Known for its leisurely weekend breakfasts, addictive cheese burek, great coffee and a fiercely loyal clientele, homegrown restaurant 21grams has moved from its current location on Jumeirah Beach Road and into a spacious new venue on Al Thanya Street.
Complete with views stretching from Burj Khalifa to Burj Al Arab, 21grams on the second floor of Meyan Mall will officially open to the public on Friday, 7 January. Boasting a rooftop terrace, increased capacity and a redesigned menu, the venue marks an exciting new chapter for the urban bistro.
Since its inception in 2018, 21grams has created a community of soulful food lovers with its comforting menu and joyful service. The new 21grams will offer diners the same modern approach to the vibrant food of the Balkans and will serve all-day breakfast, lunch and dinner at its new abode. In addition, a cosy private dining room is also available for events, private gatherings and intimate chef’s tables.

21grams will be open Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 8am to 6pm, and Thursday to Sunday from 8am to 11pm (closed on Mondays). Tables are offered on a first-come, first-served basis unless you are a group of more than six people.
On an opening day, 21grams will celebrate Orthodox Christmas with bookings required for the special set menu (AED 250 per person) featuring Balkan mezze, festive white soup, sour cabbage rolls, roasted lamb and princess crepe.
