Michelin Guide Dubai 2025

New additions, historic moments, special mentions — 119 establishments covering over 35 cuisine types have made it into this year’s selection.

It was a night steeped in celebration at the glittering Michelin Guide Ceremony, with the best of the best in Dubai’s booming culinary scene converging at Address Sky View. The event revealed 119 establishments, covering over 35 cuisine types, which made it into this year’s selection. For this fourth edition, the Michelin Guide Dubai recognises two new One Michelin Star restaurants and five new Bib Gourmand establishments.

Additionally, making history, two restaurants were awarded a staggering three Michelin stars for the first time since the Michelin Guide Dubai’s inception in 2022. This distinction, according to the global benchmark in gastronomy, highlights “exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey”. Trèsind Studio, for starters, has been promoted to the Three Michelin Stars category in its fourth appearance in the Michelin Guide Dubai, making history as the first Indian restaurant in the world to earn the guide’s highest accolade.

Simultaneously, FZN by Björn Frantzén has entered the guide, earning three Michelin stars within its first year of operations. A true destination restaurant with a stellar team, it marks the regional debut of acclaimed Swedish chef Björn Frantzén and offers a highly sophisticated experience with an array of dishes blending Scandinavian and Asian influences that make great use of the finest luxury ingredients. Interestingly, the recognition makes Atlantis Dubai home to more Michelin-starred restaurants than any other destination in the Middle East as, in addition to FZN and its three stars, Ossiano, Hakkasan Dubai, and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal Dubai have retained their one-star status. Atlantis Dubai now boasts a collective six stars as a result.

“Dubai’s rapid transformation into a global culinary hub is testament to its diversity and excellence,” says Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guide. “As demonstrated by Trèsind Studio’s historic achievement of earning Three Michelin Stars in its fourth appearance – making it the first Indian restaurant worldwide to earn the guide’s highest accolade – Dubai embraces a rich tapestry of flavours that reflect the world’s gastronomic passions. With the city now home to 119 Michelin-recommended establishments, it stands as a beacon for food lovers, drawing them to experience the very best of the world’s culinary traditions, all within one dynamic destination.”

Whatever a restaurant’s cuisine style, concept or location, whether they are luxury fine dining restaurants or street food eateries, the Michelin Guide Inspectors use the same five criteria all around the world: the quality of the ingredients; mastery of cooking techniques; the harmony of the flavours; expression of the chef’s personality in the cuisine; and consistency, both over time and across the entire menu.

“The launch of the fourth edition of the Michelin Guide Dubai, including the naming of the city’s first three Michelin-starred  restaurants, marks another pivotal moment in Dubai’s journey as a world-class gastronomic destination, and is a testament to bold innovation, extraordinary talent, and culinary distinction,” added Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM). Just as Three Michelin stars signify a restaurant that is ‘worth a special journey’, so the same applies to Dubai as a destination; from celebrated homegrown eateries to globally renowned names, this vibrant gastronomic landscape truly reflects the diversity and dynamism of a city that always aims to inspire the world.”

Also worth noting are the two new restaurants awarded one Michelin star by the Michelin Guide Dubai 2025. Located in Dubai’s Opera district, Jamavar’s Dubai outpost has joined the selection, earning acclaim for offering perfectly balanced and harmonious Indian dishes crafted with prime ingredients. Thai restaurant Manāo has also earned a spot with one Michelin star, hailed for serving an 11-course tasting menu consisting of reimagined Thai classics with a twist, with flavours staying true to the cuisine’s vibrant and authentic roots. That means there are now 14 restaurants in the Michelin Guide Dubai under the One Michelin Star category, a distinction that highlights “high-quality cooking, worth a stop”.

Amidst the fanfare of history-making institutions, five new restaurants across Dubai received a Bib Gourmand, a just-as-esteemed rating that recognises friendly establishments that serve good food at moderate prices — “not quite a star, but most definitely not a consolation prize” as they say it. Joining the likes of Berenjak, Hoe Lee Kow, and Konjiki Hototogisu, the new recipients of the Bib Gourmand rating include:

DUO Gastrobar-Creek Harbour: This second branch offers an appealing, well-priced menu with an array of unfussy, refined comfort food.

Harummanis: This Malay grill eatery draws influences from numerous neighbouring countries and boasts perfectly spiced and balanced flavours.

Hawkerboi: A relaxed restaurant highlighting the subtleties of street food from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar.

Khadak: A vibrant Indian brasserie offering sharing plates that are full of flavour.

Sufret Maryam: Chef Salam Dakkak’s second venture offers a selection of refined Levantine dishes, which are generous in flavour and size.

Last but not least are the Special Awards, through which the Michelin Guide aims to highlight and celebrate the amazing diversity of the roles within the hospitality industry, as well as its most talented and inspiring professionals. Here in Dubai, they span:

Opening of the Year Award: Awarded to Ronin at FIVE LUXE JBR Hotel, this beautifully conceptualised spot evokes fantastical pan-Asian decor, complemented by a superb selection of produce and bold flavours, and creating an immensely enjoyable contemporary Japanese dining experience.

Sommelier Award: Presented to Shiv Menon of Boca, whose list supports the restaurant’s sustainable ethos, featuring symbols that highlight environmental and community benefits.

Service Award: Presented to the team at Al Khayma Heritage Restaurant, where early arrivals enjoy Arabic coffee outside, while inside, servers guide diners through the menu with pride and passion.

Young Chef Award: Awarded to 30-year-old Chef Abhiraj Khatwani, who helms the kitchen at the aforementioned Manāo and earns this award thanks to his experience in Thailand and authentic, skilfully balanced dishes.
