The new concept from Atelier House Hospitality is now open.
Newly opened in the heart of Jumeirah, GIMI is the latest restaurant opening from Atelier House Hospitality. Following the success of 11 Woodfire, Marea, Mohalla and RSVP, GIMI offers a dining experience that pays homage to hawker culture while embracing the allure of K-Pop.
GIMI, which translates to “spice” in the Korean language, is a dining destination that masterfully fuses Korean culinary traditions with Southeast Asia’s dynamic street food culture. To enrich the atmosphere, GIMI combines old-fashioned tunes with modern K-pop beats.

Several dishes stand out among the array of tempting options on the menu. The Bibimbap, featuring Korean rice and a colourful medley of vegetables, is a spectacular choice. The Tteobokki is a dish with a delectable Tteobokki sauce, rice cake, fish cake, spring onions, kimari, and sweet potato, promises a memorable plate. Elsewhere, diners can expect Pancakes prepared with homemade kimchi and bacon, Korean Fried Chicken, Randang, and Cham Namul.
GIMI also offers a selection of non-alcoholic cocktails. The “KIMARY” features GIMI’s signature kimchi spice mix infused with tangy tomato juice, complemented by hints of celery and a touch of black pepper. For those seeking a tropical experience, the “K-POP” is crafted with soju, passion fruit, vanilla, and pineapple.

Panchali Mahendra, President of Atelier House Hospitality, explained their approach: “We wanted to create a menu that authentically reflects the essence of both Korean and Southeast Asian cuisines, with a particular focus on street food offerings. We carefully handpicked dishes that capture the heart and soul of these regions’ gastronomic cultures, from the iconic sizzle of Korean classics to the mouth-watering allure of Southeast Asian street bites, each dish was chosen to resonate with guests, evoking a sense of nostalgia and adventure.”

Ultimately, GIMI is an immersive blend of two distinct cultures. It showcases the captivating fusion of innovation and tradition, where the beat of K-Pop seamlessly intertwines with the allure of Southeast Asian street food.
