Following its closure at Wasl 51, the beloved Portuguese restaurant has opened its doors at Four Seasons Private Residences Dubai at Jumeirah.
Lana Lusa may have only closed its doors at Wasl 51 less than two months ago, but for fans of its creamy pasteis de nata and hearty arroz de tamboril, it felt like an eternity. Now, the popular Portuguese restaurant has officially relocated, debuting at Four Seasons Private Residences on Dubai Water Canal — and the new venue is downright stunning.
It’s no ordinary move, either. The team tells us that Lana Lusa has returned as an elevated concept, pairing an extended menu with a more refined dining atmosphere. Both elements are meticulously designed to capture the essence of the Mediterranean while offering a touch of modern elegance and Portuguese culinary traditions, inspired by the Portuguese heritage of founder Jessica Kassim Viveiro.

From traditional favourites to contemporary creations, guests can indulge in a culinary journey that captures the essence of Europe. The menu also offers a Portuguese Heritage section that’s rooted in recipes inspired by her grandmother. Viveiro, incidentally, is the wife of Rizwan Kassim, CEO and Founder of RIKAS Hospitality Group that owns and operates the likes of Mimi Kakushi, Ninive, and Tagomago included.

Head Chef Helio Lino, meanwhile, boasts a plethora of experience ranging from training in Portugal with their most exclusive chefs to working in Germany and Spain. With over 18 years of experience, he has mastered diverse cuisines along the way. Born and raised in the Portuguese coastal town of Torres Vedras, near the Atlantic Ocean, Lino was exposed to the realms of agriculture, land and sea from an early age. The chef also draws inspiration from his grandmother, looking to her not only for a range of traditional dishes and techniques, but also her passion for food.

Lana Lusa’s new location at Four Seasons boasts a spacious terrace that offers striking views of the Dubai Water Canal. Inspired by the picturesque restaurants along the various city centre rivers across Europe, its terrace will provide the perfect setting for a romantic evening, a lively gathering, or a memorable celebration come al fresco season — we just have to brave the heat of summer first.
