The innovative culinary concept is the brainchild of acclaimed chef Dabiz Muñoz.
Despite the dynamism that permeates the city’s dining scene, it’s not every day that “the world’s best chef” launches a concept in Dubai, making the arrival of StreetXO noteworthy. Opening its doors on the fourth floor of One&Only One Za’abeel, the highly anticipated culinary venture from four Michelin-starred chef Dabiz Muñoz promises a groundbreaking experience that blends audacious creativity with unbridled energy in every dish and design detail.
For context, Muñoz has been recognised by The Best Chef Awards as the world’s best chef for three consecutive years. Closer to home, he brings his irreverent style and trailblazing culinary finesse to the heart of Dubai. At StreetXO, guests embark on a hedonistic adventure through Muñoz’s world of unrestrained culinary innovation, inspired by the vibrant street culture of the world’s most energetic cities. Here, the menu is a testament to his boundary-pushing approach, featuring signature dishes such as the Pekinese Dumplings (made with crispy duck skin), Pedroche’s Croquettes (a Kimchi croquette with tuna sashimi and XO sauce), and XO Ramen (made with 48-hour chicken stock). Come desserts, you can expect the likes of Churros Con Chocolate and Fresas Con Nata Kakigori. Each dish, we’re told, is a fusion of global flavours and techniques designed to challenge and delight the palate.

Along those lines, StreetXO’s signature beverages complement the cuisine, including the unique Ceviche Sour, which features liquid ceviche, tequila, mezcal, fino sherry, and infused vermouth. The DiverXO Madrizzzz, meanwhile, blends gin with violet and coconut shrub. “At StreetXO Dubai, we redefine dining with audacious creativity and unrestrained energy,” says Muñoz. “Each dish is a global fusion, each space is a theatre of surprises. Dubai is a very open-minded city for food, which makes it the perfect time for us to be here, bringing our unique style of dining to a new audience.”
A meal created by Muñoz is always a high-octane dining experience full of surprises, and the interiors at StreetXO reflect that. Guests arrive at the restaurant through a tunnel, setting the scene for the visually arresting feast that awaits them. Right at the end of the tunnel, a pendant light from Filipino designer Kenneth Cobonpue, representing an acrobat carrying ceiling lights, becomes the dramatic first view. Elsewhere, the bar, covered in lava lamps and labyrinthine metal pipes holding glasses and bottles – along with other quirky touchpoints throughout – adds an element that’s fun and dramatic. This circus-like “organised chaos” continues into the main dining space with suspended tables, Jean-Paul Gaultier upholstery, and other street figures.

The spacious terrace at StreetXO beckons with more acrobatic sculptures and graffitied pillars, along with a ‘top hat man’ who disappears into the water under the main drop-off of the canopy. Amidst this immersive atmosphere, a house music selection from the restaurant’s very own playlist pulsates throughout the venue, further enhancing its energetic ambience. StreetXO is now open for dinner from 6pm to midnight daily.
