DSCVR Partnership: Make Ramadan memories at Abu Dhabi’s chicest address.
The Holy Month is fast approaching and The Abu Dhabi EDITION is pulling out all the stops to ensure that this Ramadan will be remembered.
The luxury lifestyle hotel has teamed up with locally renowned chef Sara Aqel to offer am iftar tasting menu every Thursday and Friday of Ramadan at Market at EDITION.
Named as a Michelin Bib Gourmand Chef in 2022, chef Sara has gained international recognition for her expertise in Italian-Mediterranean cuisine, having served as the Executive Chef for the renowned eatery Fi’lia in Miami, Paris, The Bahamas and Dubai, where she headed the first female-led restaurant in the region. Despite being only 27 years old, chef Sara has established herself as a prominent figure in the UAE food scene, having worked at Al Muntaha in Burj Al Arab and Torno Subito in W Dubai – The Palm.
Diners will have the chance to witness her culinary artistry firsthand as she prepares delectable dishes that reflect her Palestinian/Jordanian heritage, infused with the Mediterranean flavours for which she is renowned.
The iftar menu at Market at EDITION features a specially crafted set menu comprising of five dishes that blend chef Sara’s childhood memories with her professional culinary expertise. Indulge in Mama’s Lentil Tesa’ai, a comforting lentil soup poured over bread and topped with a chilli lemon dressing, followed by Local Honey Baked Feta, baked twice and coated with thyme and salted caramelised pecans.
Experience the harmonious fusion of East Mediterranean and Western flavours for the main course with Dawood Basha Meeting Sara. This dish features a veal meatball on a bed of yoghurt seasoned with dill, garlic and baked tomatoes. Accompanying the meatball is Gaza’s Moussaka, with charred eggplant and Gaza Tomato Salad,
Concluding the meal on a sweet note, Teta’s Rice Pudding is a comforting dessert that blends the delicate flavours of vanilla, caramel and hazelnut for a truly indulgent finale.
Sara Sara Aqel’s iftar at Market at EDITION is available daily throughout Ramadan, from sunset to 9:30pm and is priced at AED 195 per person.
A traditional iftar buffet experience is also available from sunset to 9.30pm, where guests can anticipate iftar action with live stations and all of your Middle Eastern favourites.
As the night turns to dawn, unwind and enjoy a traditional Suhoor menu featuring savoury and sweet treats in addition to shisha. Please note that this menu is exclusively available for private groups only and will be held in a private room.
