Shake those hips to the sounds of Rio de Janeiro every week at SUSHISAMBA Abu Dhabi.
Its flavours already transport taste buds to the tropics, but now SUSHISAMBA is on a mission to infuse your weekend with the infectious sounds and moves of carnival, too. Samba Night is new to SUSHISAMBA Abu Dhabi and will take place three times a week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) from this summer. Expect live samba dancers in traditional ‘Fantasia’ costumes, spectacular accessories, and pulsating music to spark a wave of Brazilian-inspired energy from 9.15pm each evening.
A celebration of movement and Latin culture, Samba Night pairs the high-spirited live performance with equally lively flavours. Head chef Edgar Obed has brought together the cuisines of Brazil, Peru and Japan in a symphony of flavours and textures – a celebration of food fitting for the extremes of Carnival.

From Japan, diners can dine on the iconic SAMBA Rolls. The Samba Dubai Roll, which features juicy Maine lobster, sweet mango, creamy avocado, soy paper, and aji honey truffle is one not to be missed. But the same can also be said of the Wagyu Dhabi Roll. With its generous helping of Japanese A5 Wagyu, fried leeks, truffle aioli, eryngi, kampyo, and avocado, it may be hard to keep your eyes off the plate and on the Samba performers. A nod to both Japan and Peru, the Bahia Roll features tuna, shrimp tempura, jumbo crab, avocado, and spicy aji panca.
If the high-energy, experiential dinner has given you an appetite, you could add Chef Edgar’s Japanese A5 Wagyu Beef Gyozas, Chilean Sea Bass Anticuchos, or Robata-style Black Cod to your order. The SAMBA Seviche Platter meanwhile offers a vibrant mix of fresh flavours and an array of morsels to sample for those who prefer a little of everything.
