Al Bateen’s Abu Dhabi EDITION hotel should require little introduction. As one of the capital’s chicest addresses, the five-star waterfront property has fast gained a reputation for luxurious living and elegant dining.
At the helm of the hotel’s culinary offering is British Chef Tom Aikens who oversees rock and roll steakhouse Oak Room, healthy living restaurant Market at The EDITION and (our personal favourite), the Mediterranean-inspired Alba Terrace.
The Saturday Spritz is Alba Terrace’s charming weekend offering that is a little more than lunch but not quite the extravagance of brunch. Serving a selection of Mediterranean dishes to the table, including a mix of Alba Terrace classics, new seasonal creations and fresh delights from the poolside wood-fired oven. Guests can expect flame-licked pizzas, freshly baked bread and a rooming burrata trolley for the convenience of hungry diners.

Sharing-style brunches might not be everyone’s cup of tea. However, when done with consistent service and a high standard of quality ingredients, there’s nothing better than lounging in sunken booths and catching up with your nearest and dearest whilst the food and drinks are well taken care of. Portion sizes are generous and you can request more of any one dish if you just can’t get enough.
Sit back and relax on the poolside terrace or chill indoors with an Amalfi-inspired cocktail in hand. Either way, it will feel like an island vacation to Capri, where good food, good company and excellent service combine to create a memorable afternoon. Expect plenty of fun in the sun (or shade, should you prefer).
The Saturday Spritz takes place at Alba Terrace every Saturday, from 12:30pm to 5pm. The three-hour experience between these hours is priced at AED 215 (soft beverages), AED 325 (house beverages), AED (445 champagne) and AED 550 (with cabana and pool access).
