Expo City Dubai has announced a ‘Fan City’ for the upcoming Fifa World Cup Qatar. The Fan City has two zones – the family-friendly Jubilee Park and a deluxe experience at Al Wasl.
Expo City Dubai will transform its Jubilee Park and Al Wasl Dome into a ‘Fan City’ later this month when the FIFA World Cup kicks off in Qatar.
Jubilee Park will host up to 10,000 fans with huge screens, live entertainment and activities and activations for fans to enjoy.
Fans can participate in foot volley games and agility courses or try their luck at the penalty shootout. There will also be a DJ playing during halftime.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of food options with food trucks and stalls, along with a licensed area for those of legal drinking age. Jubilee Park will open from 5pm to 1.30am on weekdays and 12pm to 1.30am on weekends.
Al Wasl dome will host a VIP guest experience with four super-sized screens broadcasting live matches alongside augmented in-game graphics projected across the iconic dome.
From 3 December, visitors will be able to participate in the team’s national anthems and a flag-raising ceremony. Up to 2,500 visitors can be seated within the dome with general admission, VIP hospitality and VVIP box seats on offer. Al Wasl will be open from 6pm to 9.30pm and 10pm to 1.30pm.
Ticket prices General admission to Fan City starts at AED 30, and entry is free for children aged 12 and under. VIP and hospitality packages are also available. Ticket-holders for the early game can enjoy complimentary access to Jubilee Park afterwards.
