The theme park will be home to the world’s largest aquarium.
On 23 May, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will open to the public, introducing a state-of-the-art marine life theme park that explores the intricate relationship between life on earth and the ocean.
With eight distinctively themed zones, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will provide interactive experiences for families, including animal interactions, thrilling rides, entertainment, and dining and shopping options.
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi boasts eight unique realms to explore, covering approximately 183,000 sq m and comprising five indoor levels. The One Ocean realm, located at the park’s centre, serves as a gateway to the other realms and features “One Epic Ocean,” an immersive multi-media story presented on a 360-degree screen. Additionally, guests can get a glimpse into the Animal Care Center, the heart of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi. Here, visitors can observe veterinarians providing around-the-clock care, routine check-ups, and treatment to the animals in the park.
From here, the journey starts in the Abu Dhabi Ocean realm, where guests will be transported to the shallow waters of the Arabian Gulf to learn about the UAE’s pearl diving and trading heritage. This realm offers a chance for visitors to interact with local marine animals, including dining options with Arabic cuisine and a Souk retail area.
The Polar Ocean realm includes two unique areas that showcase the extreme environments of the Arctic and Antarctica. The colourful Juhani village and its harbour bring the North Pole to life, and the realm’s state-of-the-art habitats allow visitors to see walruses and penguins up close. The Polar Ocean realm also includes immersive rides, dining options, and retail outlets.
Guests visiting the MicroOcean realm will feel as if they have shrunk to the size of plankton, exploring the ocean’s smaller wonders in an immersive and colourful design. This realm offers family-friendly rides, play areas, whimsical characters, and interactive experiments for young explorers.
The Endless Ocean realm boasts the world’s largest multi-species aquarium, with over 68,000 animals, including sharks, rays, and eels, in its awe-inspiring habitat. The realm also includes stunning observation decks and a 20m viewing window in a sea cave. Dining options with views of the aquarium are also available.
In the Tropical Ocean realm, guests can relax along the sandy shores in a crystal-clear lagoon, surrounded by dolphins, flamingos, and tropical birds. This realm also offers thrilling roller-coaster rides, retail outlets, and viewing areas above and below water.
Finally, the Rocky Point realm brings visitors to the rugged Pacific Northwest of the USA, featuring a hidden cove with nesting sea lions and dynamic habitats for these animals. This realm also includes a boardwalk-inspired snack stand.
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, will be home to over 100,000 marine animals, encompassing 150 different species of birds, mammals, fish, and reptiles.
