Dave’s Hot Chicken is expected to open in September, offering seven spice levels of chicken tenders.
The good news for both Drake and fried chicken fans is that the LA-based chain known for its seven spice levels of hot chicken tenders and sliders is coming to Dubai.
An Instagram post published on the official Dave’s Hot Chicken account on Wednesday, 17 August reads: “AYY!!! We’re coming to #DUBAI. This is honestly SURREAL, but the first #daveshotchicken in @dubai OPENS THIS YEAR! TAG some people and make sure to FOLLOW. Stay tuned for more info!! THIS WILL BE HUGE”
There is currently no word yet on the Dubai location of Dave’s Hot Chicken or whether Drake will be present at the rumoured September opening, but we can hope.
Dave’s Hot Chicken began as a pop-up in 2017, before opening a shop in East Hollywood and 22 other locations across California, Chicago, Dallas, Portland and Vegas. The company has sold franchising rights for 500 locations, and the Dubai opening will be the first outside of the USA.
The news comes just weeks after Drake released ‘Honestly, Nevermind‘, a surprise album drop that saw the rapper take an unexpected turn into the world of house music. The artists’ seventh studio album debuted with the equivalent of 204,000 sales in the United States, including 250 million streams.
However, Drake isn’t the only hip-hop megastar to venture into the fried chicken market in Dubai. In November 2021, DJ Khaled launched his delivery-only chicken wing restaurant known as Another Wing.
