And now, an unadulterated slice of those East London vibes awaits at Southpour, the latest venture by homegrown hospitality group Yolk Brands.
Famed for launching beloved brands such as Pickl, BonBird, and 1762 Deli, Yolk Brands has unveiled the first outpost of Southpour Coffee Roasters + Juice Bandits at City Walk, showcasing its commitment to reshaping the locally roasted coffee scene. The new venue has taken up residence right next to its sister homegrown brand Pickl, and will be followed by a second branch in Dubai Festival City Mall. Southpour’s menu offers a wide variety of premium, locally roasted coffee and freshly made juices, as well as pastries baked fresh every day.
Southpour is expected to shake up the local speciality coffee scene with its unapologetic branding and fiercely independent savoir-faire. With indoor and outdoor seating in the heart of City Walk, it offers relaxed surroundings for guests to meet with friends, catch up on work, or simply get their caffeine fix — head roaster Maverick Santos was crowned Barista of the Year at the 2023 Caterer Awards, so coffee lovers are in good hands.
Spearheading the creation of Southpour’s signature house blends, Santos brings his expertise and unwavering passion to each note and blend, defining the essence of what Southpour is all about — creating a path of our own. The origins of Southpour’s single-origin coffee – stretching from the lush hills of Ethiopia to the heart of Uganda, or its unique house blend crafted right here in Dubai – remain central to the brand’s commitment to quality and expertise.
In addition to crafting unique coffee blends, Southpour has also introduced its Juice Bandits menu, offering a refreshing twist to healthy juice beverages. Made fresh to order, Southpour’s juices are concocted to help you survive the hustle and grind of city life. Here’s hoping.
