Summer makes for the ideal time to break out of ones food rut — seeking cooler temperatures indoors allows diners to both explore new eateries and expand their culinary horizons by way of new cuisines. As for our pick of the ideal starting point? Nonya. Sure, Dubai plays host to plenty of restaurants serving Pan-Asian dishes, but there’s only one that takes a unique approach by looking to Singapore and Malaysian culture for inspiration.
Now, elevating its offerings for the summer months ahead. Nonya is gearing up to launch its new Saturday brunch starting from 29 April. The brunch is designed to showcase the best of Southeast Asian cuisine, the brunch menu will be a mix of classic and contemporary dishes, prepared using fresh and seasonal ingredients. Guests can look forward to live cooking stations for mochi, dim sum, sushi, noodles, and poke bowls.
There will also be a dedicated seafood bar as well as a live grill on the terrace. Main dishes, meanwhile, will be served on the table to ensure that guests can savour the dishes at their own pace.
The organic meld of Malay, Chinese and Western cultures inform the menu at this sleek and stylish venue located on the 44th floor of the five-star Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers. Here, diners can expect a lively dining experience across a lush indoor dining area as well as an al fresco op1on, private dining areas, and a full bar reminiscent of a secret garden.
To complement the brunch, Nonya’s team of mixologists have designed a drinks menu featuring refreshing, summer-themed cocktails inspired by Southeast Asian flavours and ingredients. And accenting the experience further will be live entertainment featuring a duo band that will perform a variety of music, creating a lively and fun atmosphere that complements its energy and spirit.
Saturday brunch will be served weekly from 1pm to 4:30pm, with package prices ranging from AED 275 (house beverage package) to AED 499 (Champagne package). After-party packages are available from 4:30pm to 8pm.
Bonus: the first 100 brunchgoers can expect their brunch package to be upgraded.
