DSCVR Partnership: Prepare for a night of laughter at Etihad Arena on 19 May.
With the inaugural edition of Abu Dhabi Comedy Week inching closer, even more leading names in comedy have joined the line-up. GME Events has announced that Joanne McNally will join Tommy Tiernan and Kevin Bridges for a night of British comedy on Sunday, 19 May, at Etihad Arena.
Tiernan will be making his Abu Dhabi debut; he performed to a sold-out crowd at Dubai Tennis Stadium back in 2015. An inspiring talent, he’s one of the few comics to take his audience on a genuinely emotional journey, elevating the soul through rich and honest laughs throughout every performance. The Irish comedian has an instinctive way of crafting words to bring his anecdotes to vivid life and make the jokes truly resonate. Eagle-eyed fans will recognise him as Gerry from his role on teen sitcom, Derry Girls.
Bridges, meanwhile, is no stranger to Etihad Arena — he took the stage here as part of his Overdue Catch-Up worldwide tour in January 2023. Back with all new material, the Scottish funnyman is not only beloved among his fellow Scots, but also comedy fans craving relatable
humour. Having started performing stand-up in 2004, shortly after his 17th birthday, Bridges has ascended the ranks and is now regarded as one of the UK’s top comedians. He has won multiple awards and performed four critically acclaimed, box office record-breaking tours,
winning awards from Ticketmaster and Ents24 for Fastest Selling Ticket of the Year.
Joanne McNally has recently been added to the line-up. Joanne is also the co-host of the popular podcast ‘My Therapist Ghosted Me’, where she appears alongside her best friend Vogue Williams and consistently has over one million downloads weekly. She has also appeared on TV, including The Jonathan Ross Show, Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel and Channel 4’s The Big Fat Quiz Of Everything. Her first one-woman show, Bite Me – a show about eating disorders – was nominated for multiple awards including Best Performer, Best Production, and a First Fortnight award at the Dublin Fringe in 2016. She has also sold- out 50 nights at the world-famous Vicar Street in Dublin,
Starting from AED 295, tickets to Kevin Bridges, Tommy Tiernan and Joanne McNally’s joint show are now available via Platinumlist and Etihad Arena. Elsewhere, the likes of Aziz Ansari, Bassem Youssef, Chris Tucker and Dave Chapelle are also confirmed for the upcoming Abu Dhabi Comedy Week.
