Part of Surf Abu Dhabi and rooted in Mediterranean vibes, it has taken up residence on Hudayriyat Island.
Between Kyma, Nammos, and Cove Beach, Dubai has no shortage of beach clubs that offer a taste of the Mediterranean — and Abu Dhabi is following suit. With the debut of Ilios Beach Club on Al Hudayriyat Island, a jaunt to a Greek island is within easy reach thanks to its curated menu, neutral colour palette, and vibrant poolside scene. Ilios is a brainchild of ADMO Lifestyle Holding and Modon Properties and, with two levels offering different amenities, the venue is designed to redefine the capital’s culinary and nightlife scene.
Upstairs, Euphoria Lounge and Bar is rounded off with a balcony overlooking the surfing action at Surf Abu Dhabi, while Elysium Private Room caters to those seeking more intimate, exclusive service. On the ground floor, guests can explore the elegant indoor dining area, Meraki Dining & Terrace. The outdoor area features a number of options to lounge about — the chic Iris cabana, serene Oasis loungers, and the luxe Apollo Bar adjacent to the pool included. Each space, we’re told, is inspired by Greek culture and offers a unique experience. Throughout, a Mediterranean feel is enforced thanks to design elements that celebrate light, organic beauty, and quiet luxury (think: warm hues and natural materials like stone and wood).

At the Ilios bar, Greek mythology meets modern mixology, with both cocktails and mocktails inspired by legendary heroes and gods. The restaurant, meanwhile, hands the reins over to guests, who can choose from a daily display of freshly caught seafood and various cooking methods. Executive Chef Denis Placereani’s menu is a rich tapestry of modern Greek-Mediterranean flavours, enhanced with a touch of Japanese finesse. Diners will begin their culinary journey with the likes of oysters, Beluga caviar, and rainbow maki rolls or sashimi and nigiri. Hot and cold starters like Lavraki, Trilogy of Tartare, and Burrata are followed by main courses that offer a selection of dishes from both land and sea. Juicy cuts of meat are fire-kissed over natural charcoal, while the premium seafood display is sold by the kilo at market price. Signature dishes like the Sea Salt Crust (choice of fish wrapped in Greek vine leaves and baked in Trapani Sea salt crust) and Skioufixta (house-made Cretan pasta, slow-cooked veal cheeks, Naxos Graviera) are sure to prove popular, as will quintessentially Greek desserts like Portokalopita.

As day turns to dusk, Ilios will transition from barefoot luxury to golden-hour glamour, transforming into an Ibizan lounge with a dose of Mykonos charm, complete with DJs spinning well into the night. A curated line-up of international musical talents and invitation-only themed events will be announced throughout the year. “We are thrilled to bring Ilios Beach Club to the beautiful city of Abu Dhabi, creating a unique destination that captures the essence of Mediterranean living in the UAE,” says Claudio Zarlenga, General Manager of Ilios Beach Club. “Every aspect of Ilios has been thoughtfully designed to offer our guests the ideal blend of discreet luxury, exceptional hospitality, and one-of-a-kind entertainment.”
