A novel way to escape the heat, it’s kicking off on 13 July with a two-for-one offer for summer
Mere months after its splashy arrival in Dubai’s nightlife scene, The Showhouse is back on our radars, this time adding a novelty factor to an average Saturday. The dinner-and-a-show destination will launch a Saturday matinee this, well, Saturday — 13 July to be exact. And with shows taking place from 2pm to 4pm, it’s the perfect respite from the heat.
It’s also a great way to catch The Showhouse’s debut act, Down the Rabbit Hole, for essentially half the price as the Saturday Matinee is kicking off with a two-for-one offer that will run all summer long. Standard Seating is priced AED 495, while Premium Seating will set you back AED 545. Located at the InterContinental Dubai Marina, The Showhouse opened its doors in May with the promise of entertainment that is “a little quirky, a little naughty”. And it delivers.
Pairing French-Mediterranean dishes curated by veteran chef Robert Rathbone with aerialists, acrobats, singers, and dancers in elaborate costumes alongside immersive screen technology in a Parisian-style cabaret club setting, this dining experience is as whimsical as it is glamorous. Don’t let the name of the show fool you, though. While Down the Rabbit Hole isn’t a true tribute to Alice in Wonderland, it’s fun and frivolous nonetheless. Standard Seating includes a three-course meal and your choice of two glasses of wine or two handcrafted cocktails. Premium Seating, meanwhile, elevates the affair with champagne on arrival and the best seats in the house.
Incidentally, The Showhouse is a brainchild of the award-winning Solutions Leisure Group that boasts over two decades of experience in the hospitality and entertainment sector, and now runs the likes of Ula, STK, Asia Asia, and Lock, Stock & Barrel. It’s also one of many dinner-show venues in Dubai, proving that a meal on its own doesn’t quite cut it anymore. The concept only continues to gain popularity, with Gatsby Barcelona bringing its own 1920s take to Palm Jumeirah next month.
