Beloved for its take on playful elegance, Lazy Cat will open its doors at Al Quoz Pond Park later this year.
Ask any foodie in Kuwait for a brunch spot recommendation, and they’ll steer you in the direction of Lazy Cat. And soon, it’ll be no different in Dubai — the restaurant is set to launch a branch at Al Quoz Pond Park later this year. Originating as a pop-up back in 2019, the breakfast and brunch spot now operates permanent outposts in Kuwait’s Mouruj Complex and Gulf Road as well as Laysen Valley in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Dubbed a culinary sensation, its relaxed ambience and warm, friendly service are just the start of its appeal.

Behind Lazy Cat’s concept is Gastronomica, an award-winning restaurant operator that’s renowned for its innovative dining concepts across the Middle East (OFK, Burger Boutique, Milk Bun, Nomad, and more). And, here, the company’s dedication to curating unforgettable dining experiences results in an immersive, experiential menu that captivates diners — simple breakfast and brunch rituals are transformed into unique experiences, they say. As whimsical as its name suggests, the interior is a perfect blend of cosy charm and playful elegance, designed to make guests feel instantly at home. Lush greenery adorns the space, adding a touch of serenity, complemented by the décor – a mix of modern and vintage elements – and comfortable seating that encourages relaxation and conversation.

Lazy Cat’s star attraction, its diverse menu, celebrates both classic and contemporary breakfast and brunch fare, with a focus on high-quality ingredients. Guests can look forward to a variety of delicious options, including bestsellers like the light and fluffy Japanese Pancakes and visually stunning Blue Matcha. Other top picks range from hearty Avocado Folded Bread and perfectly Poached Eggs to indulgent Pretty Frenchy and artisanal pastries. Closer to home, Lazy Cat Dubai promises to be the ideal haunt for residents who take breakfast and brunch (very) seriously.

“We are excited to introduce Lazy Cat to Dubai,” said Basil Al Salem, founder of Gastronomica “Our goal is to create a welcoming space that embodies the same relaxed and cosy atmosphere that has made Lazy Cat a favourite in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Spanning over 250 square metres, our Dubai location will offer a delightful setting for guests to enjoy our signature breakfast and brunch offerings.”
