DSCVR Partnership: Based in Barcelona, Sips will take over Library Bar at The Abu Dhabi EDITION for one night only.
Earning a place on The World’s 50 Best Bars list is no small feat, but Sips has managed to do it twice — this leading cocktail destination in the heart of Barcelona ranked No.3 on The World’s 50 Best Bars in 2022 before soaring to the No.1 spot the following year. Now, Sips is set to elevate the capital’s cocktail scene; it will take over Library Bar at The Abu Dhabi EDITION for one night only on 23 February.
Setting the stage for this exciting one-off collaboration will be the intimate, sophisticated setting of Library Bar. True to its name, the interiors draw upon themes of language and the written word. Guests, meanwhile, can expect a range of Sips’ signature cocktails, curated by none other than Sips co-founder Simone Caporale, a luminary in the world of mixology who’s known for injecting “theatrical science” into his inventive concoctions, each of which comes with an accompanying backstory and a specially designed vessel.
It’s not just presentation that reigns at Sips, either. Caporale and his team has created a special fruit texture pantone that allows the bar to express different fruits in various densities according to their purpose. It’s no wonder that the Italian bartender boasts a string of industry accolades to his name, International Bartender of the Year at the 2014 Spirited Awards included.
Closer to home, Caporale will be joined by Library Bar’s own talented team, led by Bar Manager Sujan Thapa and Head Mixologist Ryan Remulta. The venue’s own offerings will also be available. Bringing together talent from near and far, this upcoming celebration of the art of mixed drinks will take place from 7pm to 11pm at Library Bar.
